About Harp On Demand...

Borne from the Global Pandemic caused by COVID-19, James has created a safe, alternative way to connect and share his love of music with you...

Musicians everywhere experienced a dramatic decrease in performances following the onset of COVID-19. Many of your friends, my colleagues, and family members experienced a dangerous drop in income. Musicians are naturally a fairly entrepreneurial bunch, so James decided to create Harp On Demand. Harp On Demand is a streaming service that features James in solo settings as well as collaboratively with fellow colleagues.

Patrons of the site, may purchase their digital goods in whatever format their budget allows including: audio, visual, or both. Harp is an incredibly visual instrument so patrons are sure to enjoy the close-up videography of James’s hands at work.

Please note, the purchase of your digital goods is solely for personal entertainment and enjoyment. If you are an event coordinator looking for a recorded performance for your corporate event or private function please contact me directly to discuss pricing and options.

Instrumentation Offered...

Harp and Flute

A combination cherished time and again. Incredibly satisfying with the high range of the flute coupled with the 6 1/2 octave range of the harp, this is sure to please!

Harp and Oboe

Enjoy the exquisite lyricism of the Oboe against the lush rich timbre of the harp. The Oboe is extremely unique and is sure to make a fan out of you!

Harp and Clarinet

The most agile of all the woodwind instruments the Clarinet possesses a wide range of coloristic effects and timbres.

Harp and Bassoon

The Bassoon is known as the “clown” of the orchestra but possesses a command-ing range very similar to that of the cello. No clowning around here!

Harp and Violin

This combination is equally enjoyable as the Flute and Harp. The Violin is much older and has an expansive repertoire to choose from.

Harp and Viola

The Viola is larger and deeper than the Violin. Often considered the “alto” of the string section the viola is often overlooked but features a rich, dark tone.

Harp and Cello

The cello is capable of beautiful lyricism and features a range that is closely related to vocal registers. A crowd favorite for sure!

Harp and String Quartet

Known as the “Harp Quintet” this combination features a string quartet plus harp. A total of 63 strings that is sure to please!

Harp and Trumpet

The fanfare nature of the Trumpet combined with the expansive range of the harp yields a combination that is bold and exciting!

Harp and Horn

The rich timbre of the Horn and the sonorous qualities of the Harp make this pairing incredibly satisfying with a tonal palette as warm as a Van Gogh.

Harp and Trombone

Originally called the “sackbut” the modern day Trombone is capable of a variety of tonal colors which pair well with the Harp!

Harp and Brass Quintet

The pomp and circumstance offered by a Brass Quintet is made all the more special with the addition of the sonorous harp.

Harp and Voice

The “Art Song” or German “Lied” was the most popular form of vocal music in the Romantic Era. Poetry + Music = two loves combined.

Trio Ensembles

Trio Sonatas originated in 1670 and flourished throughout the Baroque Era. This combo features 2 Treble, 1 bass instruments and a continuo.

Chamber Ensembles

This genre showcases larger ensembles such as: sextets (6), septets (7), octets (8), and nonets (9). The more the merrier!
